Happy Valentines Day !
For those of you that celebrate I wish you all a super romantic evening with your loved ones and for those of us that don’t I wish you a super romantic evening with your loved ones !!!!
Just thought I would pop in with a quick post as I see my lovely friend Maria of Made by Maz is hosting this fortnight’s challenge at the Craft-Room , she is asking us to make our own embellishments and this is what she has to say :-
I do love to see handmade embellishments adorning your creations, so I thought it would be an ideal theme for this fortnight. You can make whatever you like, from whatever you like, as long as it is decorated with some embellishments which you’ve made yourself
Sorry about the backgrounds but I wasn’t able to crop them out , so please excuse hubby’s clothing in the background . Mr and Mrs P can be seen here modeling the heart I made. I cut a piece of heavy card stock with this scalloped heart by spellbinders and then two pieces of red felt which I sewed together and filled with…..cant remember the technical word so I will just call it “fluff” and closed it up. The white heart on top was a little more complicated, I made my own resin mold from a pretty heart I bought from Hong Kong and then filled it with Fimo. After a few minutes I popped it out and left it to air dry overnight. I made a hole in the paper and added an eyelet and threaded some red ribbon. The Fimo heart was then glued to the felt and the felt to the card and a couple of stick pins added for good measure.
I really enjoyed making this and it looks quite pretty in real life even though my sewing is a little naff so don’t look to closely !
Its been an absolute age since I took part in one of the Craft-Room Challenges and do hope my heart fits the bill, why not pop over and see what the DT have come up with to inspire us all there are some fantastic and inspirational pieces .
Right that’s all for me am off to Pilates
Take care
Marie
How amusing, in the best sense of the word! LOVE the embellishments. You’ve done it again – made something spectacular by combination. Love coming over here. Always go away feeling good. xoDonna
Love your hearts, and Mr and Mrs P are wonderful, too! Hugs, Valerie

Well what can I say? I love Mr & Mrs P, the fimo heart is just wonderful and as for your sewing certainly NOT naff, love that it’s around Mr P’s neck LOL. (should it have been lower?)
Hi Marie. Happy Valentine’s Day to you!! Love your sweet stuffed heart – the fimo heart is gorgeous – another craft I need to add to my list of “to do’s” 🙂 Loll xx
A fabulous decoration Mrs P and I’m so glad to see that Mr P has shaved his oxters especially for the occasion. Well impressed with your stitching and resin skills – is there no end to your talent! Xx
So, you’ve been to Hong Kong? I do envy you! lol!!!!
The heart is so beautiful… and I love Mrs and Mr P as backgrounds!
Great and inspiring work once again Marie!
Am sure the wonderful Mr and Mrs P loved displaying your beautiful hearts. xx
Super FUN creation Marie! I think I bought some fimo once, I had grand ideas…. I wonder where it is now?
Hi Marie – what a fab project – only enhanced by Mr & Mrs P! Love that you made your mould – it’s great fun and I haven’t done it for ages…so I must dig out my “stuff” and have a play.
Hugs.

xxx Hazel.
So cool, thanks for the smile on my face.
WHO are the mysterious Mr and Mrs P Marie? You certainly do hang out with the beautiful people! Your hearts are brilliantly ‘you’, with those wonderful fimo hearts at the centre and those little pins. Fluff IS a technical term… isn’t it?! Vicky x
LOVE your hearts – brilliant! I wish you’d warned me about Mr P – scared the bloody life out of me when I scrolled down, lol!
xx
Hi Marie!!! You and Mr P are looking very well, I must say! I’ve always fancied trying Pilates, and their machines look pretty impressive on QVC! Your hanging heart is also very impressive – the fimo embellishment is absolutely stunning with its intricate detail, and you even made the mould! I would sooo love to have a go at this, It’s great to see you over at the Craft-Room Challenge, thank you for joining us this fortnight 🙂
See you soon Marie

Oh so fabulous creations!
Thank you for sharing with us at the Craft Room challenge, good luck;-))m
YOU are a riot! I absolutely can’t stand how the lady is so serene and mysteriously and the man is an eternal 14-year-old boy! And so it is, ever more!! It says a lot about how magnificent your heart is that it took center stage against those two models! Beautifully done, Marie, beautifully done!!
Just stunning!!!! I love your heart, congrats on being one of our Top 3 winners at Craft Room, Debi x
