ATCAS – Challenge #11 – Hosted by Caz

Hello lovely ladies

Time again for a new challenge over at Addicted to CAS and for the next two weeks we have the very talented Caz as our host . Her code word for the next fortnight is

ATCAS - code word flower

Now I’m pretty certain you all have at least one flower in your crafty stash.

What did I make ………

IMG_3260

I recently bought some magic stamps and for those of you that havent heard of them they are thick pieces of foam rubber that you heat with your heat gun and then press the foam onto any surface , lace, paper clips, rubber bands etc and it leaves a deep impression  You then ink them up and stamp as normal. The most fascinating thing is that if you reheat the foam the impression disappears so you can reuse the foam over and over. Well why am I telling you this…. I didn’t do any of that I just used the foam as a sort of sponge to apply my ink and I have to say it gives fab coverage  much better than anything I have ever used before.

I used various Adirondack inks to create the background, a small section of an old Hero Arts stamp for the lettering and this pretty flower stamp by Inspired by Stamping . Glossy accents were added to the flower and the frame and the sentiment were created by my darling Cameo.

I really enjoyed getting inky and messy with this card and I love the colours , reminds me of some of the lovely sunsets we get here in Thessaloniki.

A big thank you goes out to all of you wonderfully talented ladies who join us week after week at ATCAS its always a pleasure to visit you all and hopefully you will join us again this time. Dont forget to keep it clean and simple though !

We once again have a fabulous sponsor Bugaboo Stamps who are most generously offering seven digi stamps to the winner from their store.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend

Take care

Get Creative Tag Challenge 15th April

Over at Get Creative we have a few changes for you and one of them being the introduction of a new challenge theme. I am delighted to announce that every 15th of the month we will be having a tag challenge. I was so excited when I heard this as when I first starting my crafty endeavours tags where the first things I made and I thoroughly enjoyed making them.

So as it is our first ever tag challenge you have free reign to create whatever you like so no excuses lol !

This is a double-sided tag and I had so much fun getting inky and messy so much so that I made about ten of them ! A few months ago I bought the Fiskars Fuse Creativity system which for those of you that haven’t heard of it is a 12 x 12 die- cutting machine that can cut, letterpress and colour all at the same time. It’s a monster of a machine but it really does deliver. I firstly cut the tags and then coloured them with a variety of inks and a sponge, then passed them through the Fuse once again to deboss them. I then went over the debossed area with more inks and did a little stamping with some Archival ink. I made the butterflies from some of the other tags that I had made. I can honestly say I really enjoyed the process and quite like the result. So no moaning and whingeing from me for a change.

We would love to see you join our first ever challenge at Get Creative so why not pop over and see what my fellow team mates have come up with to inspire you all.

We are once again sponsored by Get Creative Embellishments .

Hello lovely ladies yes tis I again dinging you’re in – boxes again twice within 24 hours !!! wont keep you long although I do have four , yes four cards to share with you.

Its time for a new challenge at ATCAS and our host for the next fortnight is the lovely Natasha. I’m very fortunate to be on another DT with her and have had the pleasure of meeting her twice here in Thessaloniki at a couple of crops. Not only is she a very talented lady and makes fabulous cards, layouts  and is an excellent knittter but she is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Always ready to help and give advice and such a fun person too.  So without further ado let me reveal what Natasha has chosen for her code word for the next fortnight

ATCAS+-+code+word+friend

Great choice Natasha and I have to say for the first time ever I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

So here for your viewing pleasure are the four cards I made all from the same stamp set by SU,  yes I actually stamped something !!!!!!!! and coloured them and glossy accented them and everything !!  Don’t get carried away though they are CAS so not a lot of anything on them really

I see that Addicted to Stamps and More are looking for CAS cards so am linking up there too

We would love to see you again at ATCAS why not pop over and see what the rest of the gorgeous girls have been up to, I did a far bit of oohing and arrrrring when I saw their fabulous cards.

Get Creative April 5th Card Challenge

Hello lovely ladies hope you are all well and for those of you that celebrated Easter last weekend I trust you are all back on your diets ! Here in Greece we will be celebrating Easter in May so hopefully we can combine roasting the traditional lamb on the spit with a swim in the Med afterwards instead of shivering in the cold !

Time for a new challenge at Get Creative and our crazy leader Irini has a doozy for us, she is asking us to make an odd-shaped card not rectangle or square , lots of room for inspiration here so come and see what I came up with

IMG_3136

This challenge  really should have been a doddle for me as I have over 1300 cutting files at my disposal but it seems that too much choice can be more of a hinderance than anything else. Of course my Cameo was once again fired up and cut three different layers of card stock. I added some tiny foam squares between the top two layers to give dimension and some pearls, twine and buttons to make it look like I actually did something ! I really don’t know what came over me making this frock I’m not really a girly girl and this is as far away from my style as you can get

Onto my next creation, wasn’t too sure about this one as it looked a bit rectangularish ( can I say that ! ) but the fancy frame persuaded me to give it an airing .

IMG_2565

Another Cameo Creation but this time I coloured the frame with Pan Pastels and cut some cork to represent one of the trees and boy was it a bugger to cut and get the right size.  The sentiment, background paper and the birds up the tree are all courtesy of my Cameo .  I really am digitally challenged and this took absolutely forever to do, you girls that work with digis I would defo take my hat off to you  if I wore one so instead I will raise my glass !! Cheers !

I would also like to link to Everybody -Art Challenge who are looking for shaped cards and Milk & Coffee who are looking for ” Anything but Square “

We would love for you to join us at Get Creative why not pop over and see the fabulous creations my fellow team mates have come up with to inspire you all, not only that but there are a few changes afoot …….curious !!!!  well there’s only one way to find out !

We are one again sponsored by Get Creative Embellishments

On my last blog post I showed the following photo and asked you all to guess what the girls where doing to me

IMG_3072

Well what a mean lot you are, most of the replies where alcohol related but as most of you know I don’t need to be held down when gin is involved and  think the lovely Karen did mention that. The reply that made me laugh out loud and the winner for her ongoing  meanness and bad taste is Florence of Florence and Freddie fame who said that they where removing my moustache !!!! Cheek !!!

Florence can you please email me your address as I would love to send you a ” little something “

Right am off now for a little light refreshment, take care and wish you all a wonderful weekend.
