ATCAS – Challenge #6 – Hosted by Shana

Hello lovely ladies !!

Welcome to another challenge at Addicted to CAS  firstly  let me say that I was flabbergasted by the amazing response to our previous challenge, we where totally blown away by your wonderful entries . I  was so inspired by your beautiful work I kept saying to myself ” now why didn’t I think of that ” on more than one occasion

Our next fortnight’s code word has been chosen by the lovely and talented Shana and here it is…

ATCAS - code word candy

I have to say this gave me a little trouble, due to the fact that the mojo is a missing and I don’t have anything sweet in my stash but with the aid of my trusty Cameo everything worked out in the end.

I used my Cameo to create Mr and Mrs Candy corn, no mean feat for me as I’m rubbish at working with digital images and layering and such,  I do wish I had my wonderful blog friend Faiths expertise, she always manages to create some wonderful cards with the aid of Photoshop  or other digital programmes and am totally in awe of her talent . The sentiment was also generated by my Mac and then cut out with this lovely bubble die by Xcut.

We are once again sponsored by the lovely and talented Beverley from Uniko Studio please pop over to ATCAS for more information and find out what the wonderful prize is and to see the amazing an inspirational work by the rest of the DT.

On another note I have to say am feeling a little anxious this evening as my young son Ari who is 17 and his band Chinese Basement have a rather important concert this evening in Athens performing before 2500 people and unfortunately I was unable to attend so I wish them the best of luck.

Right you have gotten off again lightly with another short post…….but beware I wont stay this quiet for long …..

Take care and have a wonderful weekend

Marie

P.S It seems that a few of you don’t know what Candy Corns are but from the little research that I did they are candies /sweets which are very popular in America especially around the time of Halloween, hope this helps but to be honest have none of you ever seen these little candies with faces on before !!!!!! ( me either ) lol !

  1. Your post has landed in Mexico at 2:10 am, and I am wide awake – so I must say thanks for the lovely bit of entertainment just when I needed it. Your Mr. & Mrs. Candy Cornies are so cute – and being the time of day with nothing else to do, we have had a lovely little chat. Love the way you have cut and embossed the sentiment – altogether a gorgeous little card which puts a smile on ones face. Hope your son had a wonderful evening – sorry you had to miss it. Take care – – hugs, Donna

  2. Great idea! You have done very well Mrs Clever pants. Love your candy corn although I have no idea what they are lol. Your sentiment is soooo cute! Great job xx

  4. Why I don’t I think of things like this? because you is da Mistress, even if your mojo is missing, Great idea of using a cut out speech bubble must try and remember this next time LOL.

Thanks for your praise too, I am honoured to have it from someone so clever.

  5. Hi Marie,
You always do such fabulous CAS designs. Love this! I like how your background has texture…is it fabric? And your speech bubble looks fab in contrast, with a smoother finish.
Sending best wishes for your son and his band…How excited they must be feeling performing in front of an audience of 2500. Good luck lads! xx

  6. Aren’t they adorable?
I fear you are giving yourself too hard a time again – naughty, naughty! It is a fabulous card.
I am sure the concert went amazingly well.

  8. Heaven help us when your mojo does come back Marie because this card is brilliant! I love your cute little candy corns (even though I have no idea what a candy corn actually is!) You’ve given them loads of personality and the double speech bubble is just so sweet. I have no idea about time zones at all and don’t know whether your son is about to perform or whether he’s finished but I hope all goes well/has gone well. So sorry you couldn’t be there but I know you’ll be bursting with mummish pride anyway! Vicky x
