Happy Monday to you all

Once more time for a new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and More where for the next fortnight the lovely and Talented Viv will be our hostess. Viv has chosen Come Fly With Me and she would like to see birds or bird related themes on your cards. So what did I make…..

I used this lovely digital image from Nicecrane Designs and added lashings of Glossy Accents to the little birdies not very evident from my photo of course. The frame was cut using my Cameo and embellished with a small resin flower that I made using one of my moulds.

My lovely winged lady insisted she get in on the act !

This little birdie family also wanted to make an appearance, made with my Cameo and a little touch of yellow copics .

ATCAS # 32 Coffee

A big bright and beautiful good day to you and here’s hoping you are all well and looking forward to a wonderful weekend.

Time for a new code word at ATCAS which has been chosen for us by the delightful, delectable and amazingly talented Deepti.

Great code word Deepti !

So for all of you coffee aficionados out there time to pay homage to your favorite beverage.

Although I love the stuff I didn’t have a single coffee related stamp so once again Lil Ms Cameo helped me out all except for the embossing and placement, now wouldn’t that be something if it could emboss !!!

lots of these angled cards out there in blogland at the moment so thought I would give it a go , drove me mad and took longer to do that than make the card ! My little pea brain kept interfering and shouting for me to straighten the damn thing up but I won out in the end Ha ! or did I , not to sure about that.

CAS-olgy Week 82: BOLD !

Hello lovely ladies

One of my favorite challenge blogs CAS-olgy has a super new cue word for us this week

Well thats my kinda word !

Once again the fabulous and talented DT have created some amazing cards to inspire us, duly inspired this is what I came up with

My lovely Cameo helped me cut three layers of 350gsm heavy-duty card stock which have been sandwiched together with foam tape between each layer. Unfortunately due to my rubbish photography you can’t really see the depth of it. Sparkly foam as a base and popped up on more card stock and there you have it.

Here it is on a much larger scale and framed but without the sparkle, love the shadow effect and much prefer it minus the sparkle , what do you think ?

Fusion #3

I’ve been following the fabulous ladies at Fusion for quite some time and to be honest have always been a little intimidated by their amazing talent. The time has come however to take a deep breath and dip my little pinkie into the water and have a little splash around with the other lovely ladies.

Love the sketch and the photo inspiration and have two cards to share, now maybe I should have made two separate posts but these little cards just didn’t want to be separated .

This first card is for the photo inspiration

My lovely cameo created the image and the frame and I added lashings of Glossy Accents although you wouldn’t know it by the photo !

You can can understand why these two guys wanted to stick together they just wouldn’t look the same on their own ! I hope Mr Mustache is ok for the sketch as his whiskers don’t quite reach the corner of the card , please feel free to disqualify him if he doesn’t fit the bill.

ATCAS # 31 Love

Hello gorgeous girls !

Time for a new challenge at ATCAS and for the next fortnight we have a fantabulous theme for you all .The lovely and talented Jaydee our newest ATCAS team member is our hostess so come and see what she has chosen as her code word

Well I think you’ll agree this is the perfect code word for this time of year, come and see what I made and I have to warn you that there is actually some stamping involved !!!!!!!

I created the frame with the Spellbinders card creator and cut a couple of hearts with Ms Cameo. Coloured the hearts with Pan Pastels and stamped them with an IndigoBlu crackle stamp. Sentiment courtesy of SU, can you believe it I actually got down and dirty , well actually pink/blue and pastelly !!!

Not satisfied with only one card and loving the chalky mess made with my PP’s I made something very similar using a SU swirly whirly stamp ( yes more stamping and Pan Pastelling ) I needed a little lie down and a gin after that !

I see that CAS-ual Fridays has a great theme that I think these cards fit into perfectly so will be linking up there too.

Crafty Cardmakers and More #108 Black and White

Hello lovely ladies

I told you all I would be dinging your in-boxes a lot this week and true to my word here I am.

Today is really special for me as I have rejoined the team at Crafty Cardmakers after a longggggggggg absence. Last year I had to resign from the team due to some health issues with family and friends but the lovely Lin the owner asked me to rejoin the team and I accepted. Now there are lots of changes firstly the name , we are now know as Crafty Cardmakers and More and our format has been slightly altered and we’ve had a bit of a facelift ( could do with one of those myself ) We will even be having a mixed media challenge for all of you ladies who like to get down and dirty ! so do pop over to CCM and More to find out all of the details.

This fortnights theme has been chosen by the lovely Kim and it just so happens to be one of joy favorites , Black and White yay !

I used the memory Box large Circle Burst , for the circle of course and the gorgeous owl , I’m afraid I haven’t got a clue who this little guy belongs too as I threw out the packaging a long time ago ! The flower embellishment in the corner is made from black UTEE that I created from one of the molds I made. Yep I know I made a card without using my Cameo ( still used die cuts though lol )

CAS.olgy Week 78: Dot

Hello lovely ladies

Just popping in with a super quick post dedicated to mine and yours the lovely , witty and talented Darnell of djkardkreations who requested I posted more often. Well Darnell be careful what you wish for as I will be posting every other day for the next week. So if you need to blame some one for the dinging of your in-boxes blame Darnell link above !

I always love the CAS.olgy cue words and tune in every week to see what it is and what the super talented DT has come up with to admire and inspire. Unfortunately for me its only a weekly challenge and as I’m a bit slow it takes me about six days to come up with something by which time it’s too late to take part. I have literally tons of cards that I have created for their challenges only to miss the deadline . Ladies has any one thought of a challenge site for the slower more senior crafty laggers like myself, somewhere were we can add our cards for the recently finished challenges.

Anyway on to the this weeks cue word before I miss this one as well

What a doozy !!!

Now although this card may look simple believe you me this was a bugger to create. This is a rhinestone sketch which I purchased through the Silhouette on-line store and these holes are tiny weeny things, several goes with various weight card stocks until I finally got a clean-cut and when I did I spilt glossy accents all over it. Well dripped I should say you can’t really spill Glossy Accents now can you ! The heart is red card stock smothered with GA and then die cut with a spellbinders scalloped heart. This card looks a lot more impressive in real life and I really like the shadows produced by the dots.

Sorry about the rotten photo but it’s about to dark here and if I leave it until tomorrow to photograph it I’ll miss the deadline again.! I did in-fact make two cards but poor light stopped play and was unable to get a clear enough picture, so once again I have a spare card not submitted for CAS.olgy !

ATCAS Challenge #29 – Die-cut(s)

Hello lovely ladies and HAPPY NEW YEAR !

Its been such a while since I posted I nearly forgot how to do it ! The run up to Christmas and New year is always a busy and very hectic time for us at The Pap residence as we own a jewellery shop and I work with my husband. This year it was decided ( by someone who has never worked in a shop ! ) that all of the shops in Greece should be open seven days a week from morning until 9.pm for three weeks . Well that’s fine and dandy if you happen to have lots of staff but if like us and the many other small businesses in Greece it means you just don’t get a break . Food shopping is the worst, it’s always a mad dash at the last-minute to the butchers the bakers and the candlestick makers to see what I can rustle up as it falls to me to cook for all of the family Christmas day . Mr P and I are totally knackered were just too old for this palaver and I really don’t know how many more Christmases I have in me !

On to the matter at hand a brand new year has begun and its time for our first challenge at ATCAS. Our hostess for the next fortnight is the superbly talented and all round good egg Loll. She is one of the nicest ladies I have ever worked with and for those of you that are not familiar with her blog ( shame on you ! )I urge you rush on over as its jam-packed full of inspirational wonderment and such.

Now what did the lovely Lollypop choose as her code word

Well of course as soon as I saw it I did a couple of flick flacks and somersaults around the living room( well in my mind anyway ) . As my regular followers will know I LOVE my die cuts and I have all manner of Machines of the die cutting variety but what to do……so much to choose from…..I could do this , or I could do that , or even yes that thing that I have wanted to do for ages . I pored and pored over my designs and die cuts, I cut and re-cut until my desks were filled with all manner of the things and then it all went blank , I was suffering from die-cutting dementia I had all of these wonderful shapes but no clear plan and not even an unclear plan so what did i do ? well I just shoved them in a box and ignored the buggers until the deadline was upon me and I had to get moving.

After much ado and mess making, hair pulling and the gnashing of teeth ……..

I was inspired once again by the amazingly talented Mayuri of Candles in the Garden her card making is exquisite each piece a work of art.

I used my Cameo for the die cut which was really tricky as I use 350gsm card and it needed four passes to cut it cleanly and I had to have several attempts in order to get the result I wanted. I then took a piece of heavy card stock and sprayed it and half of my desk ( and yes I did have it in a box ) with some gorgeous Dylusions inks and then placed it under the die cut.

More Cameo creativity and would you believe that I lost the birdies eye in all of the chaos and couldn’t find a black pearl or my black copics.

I love the 3d aspect here, I cut the image twice and then rotated one of them placing pop dots underneath and adhering to the other to give dimension. I love how if you look closely you can see the shadow, looks a lot better in real life.

Less is More Week 148 Lucky Dip

Hello lovely ladies !

Thanks for all of your well wishes I have to say that I’m feeling a whole lot better …………Having said that yesterday my darling husband had to undergo surgery on a knee injury so now its my turn to look after him ! Leaving the hospital a few hours ago it was difficult to tell who was the patient and who was the carer , I’m still feeling a bit wobbly and have to walk slowly , he was hobbling and I was a wobbling ! Anyways we are back home, hubby tucked up in bed so I thought I would play along with LIM as its been an absolute age.

This week is lucky dip and what to the queens of CAS have for us this week…….

Well goodness gracious me am not really a sparkly person but you wouldn’t think so from my card !!

I used the Spellbinders card creator frames dies to cut the apertures and added a layer of glitter foam in the window. I used my Cameo to cut this lovely feather and embossed just the tip in gold and then neon pink embossing powder . I love the effect of the partial embossing which I had seen some time ago here at the lovely blog Candles in the Garden and wanted to give it a go. I do hope this is not too sparkly for the lovely LIM ladies but feel free to delete if it is. The doglets as always are now supporting a light dusting of glitter as is my sofa, craft desk and floor !
