Crafty Cardmakers and More #110 Come Fly With Me

Happy Monday to you all

Once more time for a new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and More where for the next fortnight the lovely and Talented Viv will be our hostess. Viv has chosen Come Fly With Me and she would like to see birds or bird related themes on your cards. So what did I make…..

I used this lovely digital image from Nicecrane Designs and added lashings of Glossy Accents to the little birdies not very evident from my photo of course. The frame was cut using my Cameo and embellished with a small resin flower that I made using one of my moulds.

My lovely winged lady insisted she get in on the act !

This little birdie family also wanted to make an appearance, made with my Cameo and a little touch of yellow copics .

  1. I know I keep saying it, but you do come up with the goods, love the frame and beautiful picture in the first one and how ingenious to cut out a shape around each bird and layer it. I am sooooo jealous of your imagination.

Oh! yes and your winged lady is just you LOL.

    Have a GREAT week.

  2. Gorgeous card Marie – that image is beautiful. Fallen in love with your winged lady…..she’s amazing; did you make her?

  3. Love the nicecrane design – looks like it is a watercolored image on canvas – amazing. The little chickadees are adorable – love the swoosh of yellow! 🙂 Your sculpture is amazing … and so fun! Loll xx

  4. The Nicecrane card has a lovely elegance, a card perfect for a man or a woman – absolutely love your winged lady, if she ever requires to be re-homed!
The little birdies look like purchased 3d embellishments, expensive ones at that, great effect.

  5. Hello there Marie can you believe this is the first time in an age since I have received a notification of a new post by you !
Lovely cards and I’m intrigued by your winged lady did you make her ?
    Hope you are keeping well

  6. Ahhhh, how lovely, Marie! A beautifully framed canvas of two sweet and gorgeous lovebirds. It doesn’t get any better than that! Well, unless your Winged Lady is holding it lovingly. Then it’s better yet! You are a delight!! Hugs, Darnell

  7. Two fab cards Marie, the birds look beautifully vintage and then the birdy family are all modern, super contrasts. Your winged lady reminds me of Tim Burton’s film the corpse bride, absolutely fascinating 😀 Hope you’re well 😀 Gay x

  8. lovely contrast cards with the same element. I love that cute little bird family and the way they are stamped behind the front panel. Strangely, even though I followed u long back I don’t see ur posts on my blog roll 😦 So, I am going to follow u again. Hope this works

  9. Both lovely and so different! I love the first one especially – it’s a gorgeous image and looks really special with the texture.

  10. Such a beautiful Nicecrane design! I’ll bet it looks stunning IRL with some shine from your glossy accents…really stunning card! I’m so glad you allowed your lovely winged lady to make an appearance…she’s amazing! And, your little ‘birdies’ are absolutely adorable!

  12. OMG Marie, love the winged lady! Her fingers are perfect for holding the card! Did you make her yourself? No doubt, if I took the time to scroll backwards I would find you did.

Anyhow the card is so pretty. Love the look of the image it looks like it’s on fabric. Very effective. I also like the sweet little kraft card.

I shall try and bob by more often as I can see I have been missing lots of lovely work!
