Well, here I am back for a second post in a year, that’s one more than last year! I’m really determined to take part in lots of challenges and hopefully keep the creative juices flowing. Plus I have a huge incentive as I’ve talked my little sister Kal at Crafting with Mabel into starting a blog, she’s been crafting for a few years but has never posted anything so if you have a moment pop over and say hi and give her a little encouragement.
I’ve noticed that there are quite a few challenges for die cuts at the moment and boy do I love my dies I’ve invested quite heavily in them over the past few months mainly after watching the amazing Terese from Lost in Paper, that woman has cost me an absolute fortune! Definitely worth every penny though.
So without further ado…..
I recently bought this lovely oval die frame and by accident threw away the packaging as you do, so if anyone can enlighten me as to which company it belongs to please let me know The flower die is Antique Rose by Altenew cut using three layers of card, distress oxides in picked raspberry and broken china for the background splashed with water. The sentiment is by Yanna Smakoula hot foiled in pink and cut with a matching die-cut banner. Sequins and acetate complete the card.
I’m entering my card into two challenges
Little red wagon. challenge #645 Die Cuts
Do pop over and check them out tons of inspiration in the galleries and by the DT’s
Take care
Marie
Well you had to produce an amazing card when I’m entering for the first time. You have really surpassed yourself! I don’t know which is my favourite bit, the colours, the die cuts, the fact that its a shaker card? Are you sure the ink you used was broken china and not broken gin bottle though? I really love the die cut banners, so I’m going to “borrow” that idea, and please feel very free to order some more crafting essentials and send them to my address.
So proud to have such a talented (but very bossy) sister and I look forward to you beating me with a big stick to join in the next challenge, remember I know all your childhood secrets X
Gin is for summer crafting……..Big stick being purchased as we speak
HI Marie! Thanks ever so much for you kind words and support – Blog friends are the best! Fabulous card, I love the shaker effect. I hope you too are well – sending hugs your way, oh how I wish I could pop over and see you!

I have no idea who makes the oval-ish die Marie but I want it so will be stalking your comments until someone tells! Your shaker is so pretty. I love the background with that gorgeous ink blend and splatters and it shows the rose off to perfection. Your cards are so inspiring – I can’t wait to see what you make next! Vicky x

Sooo very exciting to see that you have been busy with paper and also to meet your lovely little sister and Mabel too! I am sure that I couldn’t have possibly had anything to do with any purchases whatsoever, sadly I don’t live close enough… but if you are ever in the area, I’ll either put the kettle or the blender on and we can talk dies lol.
A beautifully eye-catching card Marie! A shaker card is always a winner with me and the die cut rose is a clever inclusion!! Love this one! 🙂
