Can You Handle The Pressure?

Well, what a very apt title !!!!

I first started creating cards way back in 2010 and did so for several years making wonderful friends along the way. I took a break for a few years due to ill health, life, and lack of time. I continued to make cards but just didn’t post them. I recently looked back at those early days through my blog there were so many wonderful memories and loads and loads of my terrible cards !! What really stood out were the friendships and laughter shared with crafty friends so……. I have decided to give it another go and Can You Handle the Pressure just so happens to be the name of the challenge blog !!!!!! so let’s see if I can.

Anything Goes Embossing With A Twist of THINK SPRING

A simple card using the Fabulous Altenew 3d embossing folder Decorative Florals. I ran it through my Spellbinders Platinum and used Distress Oxide inks to colour the image which is also beautiful left as is but as the challenge has the twist Think Spring I decided to add some colour. I finished it off with a hot foil sentiment by Yana Smakula which unfortunately doesn’t show up well in the photo,a little gem a Spellbinders frame and there it is!

Do pop over to Can You Handle The Pressure and check out the DT and their fantastic creations,I’m so glad I’ve found a challenge for embossing folders I’ve got loads of the blighters !

Till then ,take care.

Marie

  2. This just turned into the best day ever!! Welcome back to blog land. You have truly been missed UB. Gorgeous card. Take care, Flo x

  3. Back with a bang Marie with this glorious and striking card. Love the dimension from the 3D embossing folder and the pretty Spring Colours x. So good to see you back x

  4. So nice to see a fellow inmate of The Priory crafting on the outside world. As you know I was in for my crafting addiction and you for your penchant for gin. As I wasn’t allowed into any crafting sessions I’m not sure why you suddenly disappeared, although I heard stories of large quantities of alcohol ink going astray and you sporting a very lovely blue moustache.
Your card is stunning, I absolutely LOVE that embossing folder and the colours are very springlike indeed! You make such beautiful cards look effortless, and I know that they are not.
Can’t wait to see your next card.

  5. I wrote a comment on my phone, then it wouldn’t let me publish it as I didn’t have my password! I wrote such lovely things about this card and you too!
Anyhow, I am so happy to see you back and producing art and beauty, I have always loved your work and the beautiful creations you always have done, this is so beautiful and it has the air of Spring with the amazing embossing and the colour mix, I love the different colours with the banner.
OK enough praise, you know what I mean, you are an inspiration.
    Hugs
    Faith x

  6. This card is really special, such a wonderful way to use an embossing folder and I love how you have added the colour. It looks fabulous against the kraft frame. Thank you for your visit to my blog and your kind comment too xx

  7. Soo lovely to see you back here again my friend! Something that I have recently noticed is quite a few similar stories in our card making community with some of my fave creators having a renewed energy for papercrafting and some even blogging again! I don’t know what has changed, but I can say that I am happy that you are here sharing your beautiful creations! Hugs Tx

  8. So sorry I’m late to the party Marie (have been partying a bit myself. It’s not every day you celebrate a 21st – no NOT mine lol!!) I have so missed your amazing cards – totally unique. You’ve made this EF look so special – the flowers remind me of a painted wooden decorative detail. Love the shaped aperture and your multi-coloured banner. Hope you’ll post again soon – it’s so good to see you back in Blogland 🙂
    Hugs, Vicky xx
