Get Creative May 15th Tag Challenge

Hello lovely ladies and welcome to the house of madness ! Yes the chaos continues here at the Pap residence which is why am a little late posting. I’m in the process of moving my craft room back home and have been busy plastering, painting, scraping and modge podging not to mention carrying tons of my crafty stash from one place to the other. Although my studio is close to  home it’s a pedestrian area so no cars allowed great for the environment….bad for my back and shoulders and all my other bits.

Onto the matter at hand and  time for our second tag challenge over at Get Creative, we had such a great response to our first one and I do hope you will all join us again, it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces. The theme for the whole month of May is flowers and as I mentioned on my last post although I love them I’m just terribly challenged when it comes to creating with them. Once again I had very limited supplies due to everything being boxed up so here goes…..

I once again made  a double side tag using my Fiskars Fuse to cut and deboss  it, I added Versamark to the flower to use as a resist  I then sponged over the tag using my magic foam and various Adirondack inks. Tiny golden seed beads used in the centre and some lovely hand crocheted flowers that I was generously supplied with by our leader and this months sponsor Irini  For the reverse of the tag I used this pretty thick felt which I cut de-bossed  and inked up and passed it through the Fiskars Fuse. It’s a great machine and does all three steps in one pass. I really love the effect of the ink and de-bossing  here. Not to leave my lovely Cameo out I cut some 350gsm card stock with this holey pattern and sandwiched it between the tags and there you have it.

Do pop over to Get Creative to see the amazing tags the rest of the Design Team have created you have until 30th of the month to upload your creations. The winner of the tag challenge will be invited back as guest designer for July and will also receive this fabulous gift from our leader Irini

Once again please forgive my lack of visits but hopefully things will be back to near normal within the next week or so  , well as normal as they can ever be in this house.

Take care my lovelies

Marie

  1. WOW!! Such beautiful sunburst colours, Marie. Fabulous work! As always!

Hope you soon get things sorted out. It’s months since my craft room was completed and it’s still not as I would like it. There’s stuff all over the place!!! x

  2. Really beautiful tags Marie. So prettily floral and love the warm colours.
Hope you get your craft room sorted soon – you’re so lucky to have one as mine is the dining room table and has to be cleared to eat!
    Hugs, Fliss xx

  3. Another WOW, Lurve the colours, such a fab tag, I can imagine a parcel with this on what a temptation to what would be inside.

I have to empty my craft room (space in a spare bedroom) soon to decorate, but the thought of moving everything is putting me off LOL.

  4. You did a major awesome job on these tags, Marie, considering the circumstances especially! I love how you have the bloom partly off the tag. Please do be careful of all your bits during this process of moving!!

  5. It’s taken me forever to get over for a visit, but well worth the wait. Love the double sided idea – very cool. Beautiful tag Marie. Your cameo really is some sort of miracle worker. I have never laid my eyes on one in person. Moving of any kind is absolutely no fun. You need a cart, my dear Marie. Something with wheels to save your poor back. I realize it’s too late now, so I hope you are all healed up and well settled back home in your studio with your well loved stash around you. xoDonna

  6. Stunning tag Marie! The colours are beautiful and so is the debossing effect. The more I see and hear about the Fiskars Fuse, the more I like it! Your craft room will be worth all the faff in the end!
    xx

I have to say – your double sided tags are amazing! It might not be easy for you to create with flowers, but you’ve done wonders, I just love everything – the colours, the texture, the embossing/dembossing… simply gorgeous you so talented lady!
