Addicted to CAS Challenge #43 Celebrate

Hello lovely ladies !

We have a fabulous new challenge over at ATCAS and it couldn’t be more fitting for me. The lovely and talented Jaydee has chosen the code word for the next fortnight so come and see what she’s chosen.

ATCAS - code word celebrate

Hopefully that’s what I will be doing for the next week albeit on one leg ! I will be celebrating my birthday in a few days time,  not only that my closest friends all have their birthdays within a day of each other starting on Sunday continuing on until Thursday. I’m off today to my beach house to host a little party Mr P will be doing the cooking this year ( haven’t told him yet ) due to my inability to stay upright for too long , and no it’s not due to an excess of gin !

I used a tiny little brayer  with this cute heart motif to randomly stamp my base card , cut the hearts and sentiment with my Cameo and popped it up on foam. Behind celebrate I added some red card stock not completely covering the negative space. I thought  it looked really cool in real life but looking at it on the screen it looks like my card stock has slipped.

Don’t you just love the expression on her face ! I’m feeling a bit of a porker myself at the moment due to my inactivity. I cobbled together various elements using my Cameo, popped my little hippo up on foam and used glossy accents on my balloon ( and the surrounding area it seems ) a Spellbinders frame completes the madness.

Once again Bugaboo stamps are most generously offering 7 yes 7 !!! digs to our lucky winner

We would love you to come and celebrate with us at ATCAS , the DT and our lovely guest designer Cathy have produced once again a fabulous variety of amazing cards to inspire you all.

Right must dash as this view is awaiting me ! off to pack the champers and the three doglets

Take care

  1. I hate to say it but that Hippo looks a bit like me….. Actually the Hippo looks a bit like me when I was looking at you while in Spain. Exasperated!!! Hahaha – she is adorable though 😉 Both your cards are stunning. I like the way the hearts are behind that cardstock. Very cool. xx

  2. I thought the hippo’s expression looks like Kylie as well!! LOL! Stunning cards as always UB. You do work wonders with your cameo. Have a fantastic time with Mr. P on your birthday. Is it the big 60 this year? Only joking my lovely friend.
    Hugs Flo xx
P.S. I am not getting email notifications of your posts again…..arrrrr!

  3. LOVE love your cards, the little extra heart at the top is a cute little extra and a GREAT idea. In fact, going to see if I can do something like this today, OK call it plagiarism, I’ll call it copy! C’mon not all ideas are original they HAVE to start somewhere, – usually with you! LOL. The hippo card is definitely you after reading what I have just written!

Have a WONDERFUL birthday and of course Mr P has to cook – it’s your birthday week – notice I say week, which means he has to cook ALL week. Enjoy your beach trip, I did yesterday, not quite the same view but it was the sea and a beach!.
    xx

  4. Two fab cards Marie but adore your hippo! She looks how I feel…………but she made me smile 😊 . Now I’ve definitely gone off you showing that gorgeous view……..after several lovely days here it’s bucketing down with thunder and lightening, but muggy!

    enjoy your champers!

    Hugs.

  5. Both your cards are fabulous Marie! Those negative space hearts are fantabulous but it’s the look on that hippo’s face that really made me smile BIG, have a great time at the beach and a very happy birthday!

  6. Two awesome cards Marie, I love the tiny hearts peeking through the cut out panel…. The random pattern just adds to such a fab effect!! The hippo is such fun too :0)
Can’t blame you for not keeping that view waiting… Have a great time and Happy Birthday too xx

  7. Ha, ha, love your hippo card. I’m feeling like that myself, we’re just back from a wee holiday and the 5lbs I lost before going have more than been put back on. Middle aged spread is an understatement! Hope your gammy leg is better soon. Take care. Xx

  8. Two fabulous cards Marie. Both are so creative and fun! 🙂 Have a wonderful birthday celebration with your friends. Looks like you have a lovely place to party! Loll xx

  9. Can’t help but smile at Madame Hippo, Marie, what an expression … how fun! Love the drama of the black and red … so striking and stunning! Have a very happy birthday … and enjoy your fun at the beach! Anita 🙂

BOTH your cards are fabulous!!! The hearts stencil one – well, ha! Its too cool and I will have to keep it in mind for inspiration! But the Hippo, oh my, I just got a huge smile with that! So fun.
