Good morning lovely ladies.
Before I start my post I would just like to warn you that it may be a little photo heavy and there may be some photo’s of a questionable nature So for those of you who need to catch a bus/train/boat/plane please leave now but don’t forget to come back later with a cup or glass of your favourite beverage or cocktail !
As it’s the 5th of the month its time for a new card challenge at Get Creative which just so happens to be a colour challenge
As usual I left my card making until the last moment only to find that I had only one “slice” as I call it of dark blue paper so no room for mistakes. Colour challenges really stump me and especially as this time I couldn’t afford any errors, so here is my simple little card
The silhouette and the sentiment where of course created with my darling Cameo , spellbinders edge die and SU edge and embossing die used for framing the sentiment and that’s it. It was touch and go for a moment getting that little silhouette off my cutting mat it’s quite delicate but as you can see I managed it.
We would love to see you join in the fun at Get Creative, why not pop over and see what the wonderful DT have come up with. You have until the 29th of the month to play along and the winner will return as guest designer in August.
We also have a new member joining us on the design team and here is a little show case as featured on Get Creative
I have been very fortunate to meet Rania on several occasions and I have to say that she is an extremely talented lady her crafty skills are limitless and she always manages to inject a little humour into everything she does having said that…………. have a wicked and I mean wicked sense of humour which I adore and you Greek ladies all know what I’m talking about.
Last weekend here in Thessaloniki we had our 3rd Crop where crafty friends got together from all over Greece to create, exchange techniques and PARTY !!! It was a wonderful weekend meeting old and new faces isn’t it amazing how this wonderful hobby can bring together so many people from so many different walks of life for a common goal. So I would just like to share a few pictures with you.
Firstly of the wonderful Gogo or Gogolino as I call her who organised the whole event. This lady apart from being amazingly talented is one of the most generous, warm-hearted people I have ever met and I’m so honoured to call her a friend, another lady with a mean sense of humour and a great practical joker. so I’m sure that she and the rest of the lovely ladies will forgive these photos !
Here she is with Rania after finding the hidden bottle of Vodka !!!
‘That’s me at the top and my lovely friend Gogolino is trying to push me down the stairs !
Hard at work ( look at all of those glasses ) !!!!
Essential crafting supplies !!!!!! the guilty party is Natasha !
Thank you all so much for making this a weekend to remember I wont mention names for fear of leaving someone out as being an ” elderly ” lady of I think at the last count I was 74 my memory just isn’t what it used to be !
So if you’re still with me I just wanted to add a few ” real life ” photo’s of Rania as opposed to the airbrushed Photoshop one at the top of the page .
” Where’s that damn waitress with my drink “
” I’m not smiling or posing for the camera until I get my gin I told you “
” Right I’ve waited long enough get me the manager ” !!!!!! NOW !!!!
The under-aged please look away !
Isn’t that dress pretty !
Last but not least ME ! looking for customers !
CHEERS !
Well if your still with me thank you so much ! Hopefully I will still have some friends after this is published !
Take care
Marie

What a great, great, great post Marie!!!! I have to admit, I got quite sentimental reading the post… So happy to have met you (even though you gave away my inspiration secrets, hihihi) and I’m looking forward to the next “mosquito” crop!!!
…And your card is, as always, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!
Hi Marie – I loved this post and it looks as though you had the most fantastic time at your crop. The card is sublime as usual! (Did you get my email a couple of weeks ago?) Cx
Brilliant post Marie!!! Really had fun reading it and looking at your photos. I saw the European news last night and they showed photos of a new bottle bank being used in Greece. The building looked surprisingly the same as your beach house?? Seen any photographers around lately? 🙂
Hugs, Florence x
