ATCAS – Challenge #11 – Hosted by Caz

Hello lovely ladies

Time again for a new challenge over at Addicted to CAS and for the next two weeks we have the very talented Caz as our host . Her code word for the next fortnight is

ATCAS - code word flower

Now I’m pretty certain you all have at least one flower in your crafty stash.

What did I make ………

IMG_3260

I recently bought some magic stamps and for those of you that havent heard of them they are thick pieces of foam rubber that you heat with your heat gun and then press the foam onto any surface , lace, paper clips, rubber bands etc and it leaves a deep impression  You then ink them up and stamp as normal. The most fascinating thing is that if you reheat the foam the impression disappears so you can reuse the foam over and over. Well why am I telling you this…. I didn’t do any of that I just used the foam as a sort of sponge to apply my ink and I have to say it gives fab coverage  much better than anything I have ever used before.

I used various Adirondack inks to create the background, a small section of an old Hero Arts stamp for the lettering and this pretty flower stamp by Inspired by Stamping . Glossy accents were added to the flower and the frame and the sentiment were created by my darling Cameo.

I really enjoyed getting inky and messy with this card and I love the colours , reminds me of some of the lovely sunsets we get here in Thessaloniki.

A big thank you goes out to all of you wonderfully talented ladies who join us week after week at ATCAS its always a pleasure to visit you all and hopefully you will join us again this time. Dont forget to keep it clean and simple though !

We once again have a fabulous sponsor Bugaboo Stamps who are most generously offering seven digi stamps to the winner from their store.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend

Take care

Marie

  4. Marie that background is stunning – you got great texture with that foam. I never heard of that foam stamping before – very interesting.

  5. Absolutely stunning Marie! As soon as I saw it the colours reminded me of the sunsets I’ve seen in Greece – especially in Santorini. I’ve got to go back there one day! The magic stamps sound brilliant – can’t wait to see what you do when you use the foam for that!
