This is another scheduled post as hopefully ( she says with fingers crossed ) I’m sunning myself on the beach but I have a little feeling of dejavou , last time I said that both hubby and I got ill and our holiday was cancelled. As I’m typing this the sun has gone in, the sky has filled with huge black clouds and storms are forecast for the next few days ! Just my luck. This week in Greece and especially the 15th of August it is one of the most import days here as we celebrate the Virgin Marys name day. Anyone who is called, Maria ( most of the women ) Despina, Panagiota, Panagioti ( male ) celebrate this day so it’s about three-quarters of the Greek population. The city empties, people return to their villages or go on holiday and its the only time you can find a parking space ! So I’m off to join my friends and family at our summer home.
Before I go any further I would like to thank of you all ladies who took the time to pop over to my sister Karen’s blog Tricky Little Stitches and left her a comment and for all your lovely words , we were both moved and I know you really made her day , and mine .
Over at Addicted to Stamps its time for another challenge and this weeks theme is ” Cards for the Boys ” I really had a tricky time with this one I can tell you , I wanted to stay true to my style, whatever that is , and didn’t, couldn’t go the very masculine route , so I decided to stay clean and simple and this is what I came up with
All of the cards were made with my Cameo including the sentiment and of course except for the little heart on the first which was covered in stickles ! I cut out the silhouettes several times using thick card stock and then glued them together to get a little dimension .
Please pop over to Addicted to Stamps to see what the rest of the lovely ladies of the DT have been up to and why not play along, we love to see your creations and your are all such a wonderfully inspirational bunch of bananas ..oh sorry I meant ladies…..well some of you are bananas !!
Take care
Marie
Great cards there and maybe I shall download the top design for my Silhouette now I have seen how you have used it! Thanks for your visit. xx
Perfect CAS designs. Enjoy your holiday, xx
Is it your mission in life to make me jealous about your little holiday’s here and there? Well, it’s working! I love your cards, Marie. The silhouettes are perfect for the male recipient. Terrific inspiration!
Beautiful cards and images. Valerie
What a great pair of male cards Marie – you make such good use of your Cameo and to great effect. Love these CAS male cards ……not so sure about being called bananas though!!! lol Fingers crossed for a great holiday for you this time – I’m sure the black clouds will blow away……unlike here where we are forecast yo have 60mph winds and rain, rain, rain………..
Hugs.

Oh these are perfect in absolutely every way Marie – I love them to bits! The little heart shape in the bicycle chain bit (I’m sure there’s a technical term but it escapes me for the minute!) is a brilliant detail. I wondered where our black clouds had gone but fingers crossed they’re on their way to the middle of the ocean somewhere. And I knew I shouldn’t have been wearing that yellow jumpsuit… Vicky x
Wonderful selection of cards, love the lasso round the heart.
Hope you have a good holiday.

From one banana to another I love your cards Marie! It’s the little details of the hearts that makes them unique. Love the cowboy:) Hope your holiday goes well this time, it’s raining here and a bit muggy but I did get very, very close to Tom Jones on Friday:)

Love the romance of the first card and brilliant idea to add the heart (love that bling!) I’m feeling a Yee Hah coming on.
Your cameo is much loved which is wonderful as so often we read of gadgets being unloved.
Brilliant CAS cards.

Hi Marie,
I’ve left the dreaded iPad, (which is good for some things, but drives me crazy with the way it changes what you have actually typed), and come to visit and leave a comment, which I know would probably end up in cyber space if I sent it via iPad.
I love both your fabulous CAS cards. You always find such brilliant ways to use your Cameo…ways in which I would never think of. A really terrific use of the cut files and sentiments!
I hope the sun is now shining on you, and you enjoy a fabulous holiday with your family and friends at your summer house…which sounds wonderful!! xx
Oh your cards are absolutely wonderfu. So C&S but without being bland. They really pack a B&W punch! Oh nand, yes, I love the red heart!!
Two stylish C&S cards Marie 🙂 gotta love the heart card
Von ♥
Both your cards are amazing!! Thanks for coming round to see me, Marie. I hope your holiday weather changed for the better and you’re having a ball!!
Hiya Marie, I hope you are having a wonderful time on holiday (I’m very jealous, lol). These are definitely true to your style, and absolutely fabulous. – I love the first one in particular – that red heart sets it off perfectly. I always struggle with blokey cards and steer clear whenever possible – whenever Dave asks me for one, I point him in the direction of the nearest card shop:-/. I had a look in your sister’s Etsy shop, by the way – she has the cutest little knits in there, one in particular with my grandson’s name on it!
Take care & speak to you soon
