Hello you lovelies !!!! Hope you are all well and fighting fit. It was a holiday weekend here in Greece and the sun came out the city emptied and was very peaceful, I unfortunately was unwell so was stuck at home while OTHERS ( husband ) played tennis and frolicked in the waves . To be honest he’s not much of a frolicker but you get my drift. Due to my bed rest am a little far behind with today’s post so here goes.
Over at Get Creative its time for our first card challenge for June and this is what our leader Irini has to say:
Good morning
every one
What do you see when you look out the window in the morning?
No that is not a part of the challenge but a window is!!!!!!!!
You challenge today is to make a card with a
window on it
Now you can cut it like an aperture card
or you can stamp an image
or you can use a die cut
just let your imagination go wild!!
My take on the theme
I took the theme literally and with the aid of my Cameo created the above, the sentiment is from SU
Liked it so much I made another one !
I cut the frame using my Cameo and took a napkin and attached it to heavy card stock using Mod Podge another layer on top and then when dry cut out this section and adhered it to the card. A few beads for bling and there you have it !
As the cameo was all warmed up I made this other little number adding the DP from my stash and used a Spellbinders nestie for the heart.
This was a really fun theme and I made about eight different window cards I got a bit carried away ! More of those another day. Do pop over to Get Creative to see what my other fabulously talented team mates have come up with you may even win a prize !! This month we are being sponsored by Get Creative Embellishments check out their Etsy store lots of lovely goodies here. You have until the 29th of the month to upload your creations so Get Creative and have some fun !
Right about time I had a peep at what all of you fabulous crafters have been up to !!
see Ya !

Lovely work! Valerie
Hi Marie, sorry to read you haven’t been well … hope you are feeling much better by now. And despite not feeling so good you’ve still found the energy to make a great bunch of window cards. Love the Venetian blind die-cut … what a great idea for two very eye-catching cards. I also like what you’ve done with a napkin … which reminds me I have some lovely seaside themed ones tucked away somewhere … 🙂 Keep well, my friend, and perhaps you will be soon frolicking in the sun too. Elizabeth xx

Wow! Brilliant cards, Marie!
Your window cards are wonderful Marie! I love the venetian blind cards, especially the one with the mum holding up her baby. The bird with the ornate frame is just amazing too and how clever to use a napkin to make it. The contemporary engagement/wedding/anniversary card could well be my favourite – I love the way you used the design of the paper to create lines in the figures and the heart. So sorry to hear you weren’t well over the weekend but there will be other times to frolic! Hope you’re feeling better now. Vicky x
Wow! What a fabulous collection of cards, I love them all. The diecut blind is brilliant.

It’s getting hard to think of words to describe your work, amazing, fantastic etc seem to keep cropping up, I too love all the cards, the venetian blinds ones are fab (do you remember when we had those all over the house as kids? One fell on my head once, that explains a lot!) but your bird card is my favourite, I love everything about it, keep up the amazing, fantastic work!
I’m missing words, you’ve created wonderfu cards. I especially love the first ones.
These are just fab Marie, your idea with the blinds is so clever and I love the bird in the frame too. Hope you’re back to full strength now. Take care. Suze xx

Marie, you surprise me anew with these gorgeous cards! I think I´ve never seen Venetian blinds on a card – at least not in this way – this is stunning! I love the 1st one most – the red colour pops!
Please keep mentioning, that you do all this with your Cameo… maybe I´ll be able to convince myself to buy one 🙂 I´d love to have one, but the price is discouraging me…. so please keep mentioning it! 😉
Have a nice day!
Hugs,
Uli
PS: I hope you feel ok again?! Sorry that your weekend was spoilt.
Hi Marie. Brilliant and beautiful creations. That blind is very clever.
Regards Florence xx
Hi Marie,
I don’t know how I missed your post…so sorry! I hope you are feeling much better now.
You always create wonderful works of art with your Cameo. I LOVE your cards with the Venitian blinds…they’re brilliant!! I also love your beautiful frame card with the sweet bird inside. Your card with the couple on is the perfect modern engagement card. Fabulous work, as always my friend. Take care! And I hope you are able to join in with the frolicing and fun next time xx
Hi Marie,
This is my second attempt at leaving a comment on your post…hope it works this time.
I hope you are feeling much better now.
I love all your wonderful Cameo creations. Your Venetian blind cards are such a brilliant idea! Such a lovely choice of images to go with that sentiment, too. Your frame card with the sweet bird inside is so pretty. Your work with napkins and mod podge always looks fabulous. And last, but not least, your lovely modern couple card, which would be great for an engagement card.
Take care! And I hope that you are able to join in with the fun and frolics next time xx
Fabulous Marie, I love the way you think:0) These are all totally magic!! I hope you’re feeling better now? Hugs Gay xx
My jaw dropped when I saw this fantastic collection of cards! Totally love your take on the ‘window’ theme with those fab silhouettes. My fave would have to be the chevron couple, it’s AWEsome!
