Addicted to CAS #34 Luck

Hello lovely ladies

Time for a new challenge at ATCAS and I’m so happy that I’m able to join in this time round. I had a nasty bout of the flu which was most generously passed on to me by Mr P who once he had infected me went away on a business trip for a week and left me with a 40 degree temperature and a shop to run ! It really laid me low and I was incapable of anything for two weeks. I’m back to full fitness now and was all ready to come visit you  when my Mac crashed, I only got it back yesterday evening so my card for this weeks challenges was made in a bit of a rush. Its amazing how much we rely on technology in our everyday lives  every time I came into my craft room I was saddened by the big empty space on my desk. Anyways its back now in its rightful place so let me tell you about our new code word

Our code word for the next fortnight has been selected by the very lovely and talented Sandie and this is what she has chosen for us

ATCAS - code word luck

I didn’t have one stamp with luck or good luck or anything remotely related,  thank goodness for the old Cameo eh ! Now Im warning you all my card’s a bit on the bright side  so you might need your sun glasses for this one.

Told ya !

Take a bow Miss Cameo !!! You notice the little sequin in the corner?  A while back I purchased tons of different colored sequins as I fell in love with the trend and was totally jel of all of those gorgeous cards and projects out there. Have I used them  ? NOoooooooooo , I just don’t seem to be able to place them in a carefree and stylish manner on my cards as you can see by the above, poor thing stuck in the corner on its own, I may just end up making a frock and sewing them on !!!!

We have a wonderful sponsor for this challenge Stamplorations

STAMPlorations1-webThe prize will be a pack of stamps called “It’s all about You” so definitely worth joining in.

We do hope you will join us at ATCAS and if you need a little inspiration pop over and visit the rest of the gorgeous and talented DT ( whom I have missed so much ) and say hi to our guest designer this month the lovely and Karen  who Im sure you all know from Made by Meadie who has made a super cute card.

Hopefully I will be by a little later to catch up with you all if another disaster doesn’t befall me but first am off for a  ” power walk ” I’ve started a new fitness regime which includes and 10 km walk every day and Pilates doesn’t sound much but I’m practically jogging lol . Its along the seafront here in Thessaloniki which normally would be quite nice except most days it has rained and been windy,  no fun walking fast and trying to hold on to my umbrella !

wishing you all a wonderful weekend

Take care

Marie

  1. The comment button here is always ass about face to me, lol…. wrong end.

Sorry I haven’t been by since you came back, but my ME is just about driving me nuts and I don’t have too much spare energy. Anyhow, enough of my excuses!

I love this. I really like bright colours, and the black and green are so effective together. Such a gorgeous cut pattern too.

  2. Wow, well that’s woken me up, very vibrant Mrs P! Good on ye for your new fitness regime, I’ve been trying too but have only been out once this week, basically I’m just a lazy B! Xx

  3. You are really making me want a digital cutter with this beautiful card, Marie! I love how delicate those little cuts are. So detailed and amazing! I am LOVING that single green sequin too. So pretty!

  4. Hi Marie. So happy to hear that your healthy … and have your Mac back in it’s rightful place! I agree, we can’t live without our computers! 🙂

Fabulous card … love the design with the bright green and black. I’m having more and more success with my cameo thanks to your supportive words (and Vicki too!).

I also have trouble with sequins. I see them perfectly placed on other’s cards and just love the look … but for some reason when I use them, they just look ridiculous … not that yours does 🙂 I have the same issues with buttons and I have lots of those collecting dust in my studio. Maybe we need to start a support group??!! 🙂 Loll xx

  5. Marie is this awesome. The green and black are so bold they jump off the page. Gosh, I would love to be joining you on your walk, what a wonderful place to walk….I have the smog of London…no, you know I love London but I am also a lover all the Greek Islands. So much so I got married on one of them!!

  6. So glad to have you back Hun…..you were missed! Looks like you came back with loads of verve if this brilliant card is anything to go by; certainly woke me up!!! lol Love the green sequin but know exactly what you mean about finding it difficult to place them…..but this one is perfect.

    Hugs.

  7. So pleased you’re feeling better Marie and back being a sassy blogger! Love the bright four leafed clover (and how clever of your Cameo to make it all by itself while you sat back and did your nails!) The single sequin is a lovely touch. Vicky x

  8. Wowzer Marie, what a glorious shade of green – so dramatic with black. As for the sequin, I think it completes the design perfectly – rather like a full-stop at the end of a sentence!
Sorry you’ve been unwell Marie – hope you’re fully recovered now – Sylvia xx

  9. Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling so unwell Marie, sounds like you’re back and fighting fit again… walking daily along the seafront sounds like bliss :0)
Super bright card, love this colour duo and I’m just the same with sequins despite the colourful stash I have!!

  10. Marie, hope you are feeling so much better! I love the bright colors and the strong focal element needed absolutely no sentiment. the single sequin is perfect! Fabulous card.
    Hugs
