Hello lovely crafters!! I’m back after a little break after undergoing shoulder surgery six weeks ago. It will take another couple of months to recover fully I’m currently undergoing physical therapy, which is horrible but hopefully will restore my right arm to its former glory. In other words, I’ll be able to use my Spellbinders die-cutting machine yipee !!! For now, there’s still quite a lot of discomfort but I was able to make a card using mainly my left hand so please don’t judge me harshly.
It’s the midway point at The Flower Challlenge and we are asking you to use spring colours on your cards.
Here’s my left-handed creation…
My Silhouette Cameo was very happy to come out of retirement so I could make the embroidery hoop using Kraft card. For the background, I used an Altenew cover plate which reminds me of the backing fabric used in embroidery. The Flowers are courtesy of Pinkfresh from their Embroidered Blooms range and coloured with distress Oxides.
We hope you will join us at The Flower Challenge there are so many fabulous cards in our gallery and the Design team has once again knocked it out of the park and has been very understanding during my absence.
I’ve really missed crafting and believe me just sitting and doing absolutely nothing for six weeks has taken a toll on my mental health it’s amazing how much this hobby means to me and many others. I promise to get around to seeing you all as soon as possible but even writing this post is a little difficult so please bear with me.
Wishing you all a fabulous day.
Marie

well done! This is a fabulous card. Good luck with your healing ❤️🩹
Thank you Vicki
Marie, I am so happy to have you back! If not completely 100% one could not tell that by looking at your gorgeous Spring-y card!
That Aida cloth debossing plate has been on my radar for some time now – beautiful time to put it to use for this sweet little embroidery hoop… are there any crafty tools you don’t have?? lol
xx Michele
TBH I have quite a few but not as many as your wonderful stamps and dies …wanna swap !? Thanks so much for your kind words Michele always a pleasure to hear from you x
Good to have you back Marie and with a beautiful card too, love the hoop and flowers popping out from it. Physio is usually a bit of a stretch! However, I know you will stick to it and be back to full strength very soon. Take care hugs. Faith x
Thanks for stopping by Faith. Yes physio can be tough but I will get there in the end.

Great to see you posting, Marie, and I hope you continue to heal well! You did a fantastic job with your beautiful card using your left arm and hand! I would frame this! No one would ever guess it wasn’t stitched by hand one stitch at a time! Happy Easter! (Don’t worry about commenting.)❤️Hugs, Darnell

Welcome back! You’re definitely back in style with this beauty! I get how frustrating it is, but take it steady and don’t rush your rehab – it will be worth it in the long run xx
