Less is More is finishing off a month of birthday celebrations with a fantastic new challenge which just so happens to be one of my least favourites , the sketch challenge. I’m totally rubbish at them and usually avoid them but this time I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Executing my idea was another matter and it’s taken all day to make this simple card.
Last year I bought a badge making machine on a whim , as you do, and have hardly used it, no surprise there. Today though it’s having a little outing.
These images are Silhouette studio files which I’ve printed and watercoloured. The raccoon was printed again onto copy paper to make the badge and adhered to the card.
Here he is without the badge showing the printed image. I choose the particular sentiment as the critters all look so miserable I wonder what that’s all about !
Do pop over to LIM once again the DT have all produced amazing cards to inspire us all.
Before I go I want to shout out to the lovely Brenda Lawrence who is constantly leaving me comments unfortunately WordPress isn’t showing me your blog name so I can’t come by and visit. Could you please leave it in your comment so I can come and visit.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
Marie
What a great idea the badge is – this is fabulous. I also don’t often do sketch challenges but I have also made one for this sketch, although I haven’t uploaded yet. It’s not as original as yours though.
This is such a fun card, Marie!! And I agree, WHY do they all look like nobody loves them? I feel a story coming on … ! Hugs, Darnell
What a miserable lot….He he! It brought a fun smile to my face. Like Darnell there may be a story coming on….. Of course they are loved as is your fun card xx
Great idea to add the badge, wonderful idea, wish I could have a little of your creative mind. NOT the other part!!!! fabulous painting, and yesI why are they miserable? They should know, we are happy seeing them.

OMGoodness, what a cute card Marie! Love those critters in all their “roundness”. lol But I really love that you made a badge button from the coon-he just cracks me up! Your take on the sketch is brilliant and you are not rubbish at sketch’s either! Hugs, Brenda

So darn cute, and a badge too, how very clever!
Love it and so creative with the badge! Maybe it’s the weather making them miserable although you are probably basking in sun in Greece?!!! xx
This is such a fun take on the LIM sketch this week, love it

Oh this certainly made me smile! What a fabulous card!! Love your watercolouring too… And really? A badge making machine? I remember at school we wore so many badges… It was fashion then any badge would do haha!
This is fantastic! I LOVE the humour in this card. The design is a perfect take on our sketch challenge and it’s so creative too. Really glad you didn’t avoid this particular sketch! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More 🙂
Hi Marie, what a great idea. Love all this cute tiny animals, which makes you really happy looking at them. Thanks also for your lovely comment.

Oh MY! Too much cuteness, too many cool ideas and images. I LOVE your take on our sketch. It’s fun, it’s CAS and it totally rocks! Thanks for playing along at Less is More this week. x
What a totally fun card Marie, I love that little raccoon and what a brilliant idea to make him into a badge!! xx
Brilliant! You really made me smile with your images Marie … they do look a bit grumpy, don’t they. Love your sense of humour with the sentiment though as it really lifts the card. I think we are all guilty of buying those items that don’t get used so it is fab to see you giving your badge maker an outing and it is a terrific way to interpret the sketch. Love it! Thanks so much for joining us at Less is More xx
OH wow Maria, this is so so fun!
Such an awesome card!!! Those critters – so much fun!
How clever to use a badge on your design Marie! love that sweet Racoon too and super card for LIM. I see you have starlings too by what you told me. Oh my don’t tell me they will be still here in Summer too. As much as we love them….oh the mess lol…and we have thousands here !! 😉 Viv xx
Hi Marie! Thank you so much for your nice comment in February! I´m sorry for being so quiet lately – I´m more into photography now and not so much into paper crafting…
I hope you´re fine and everything is ok!
Have a nice day!
Uli
PS: Oh, I nearly forgot: your smile-card with all the animals is super cute!!
That is a brilliant design!
