CAS.ology Week 68 : Black

Hello gorgeous girls

A tiny post from me today ( more like a post it ) as I saw that CAS.ology have another spiffing cue card this week .

Week 68 - Black

My favorite color !

So I whipped up with the aid of my Cameo a couple of little black numbers for your delectation.

Although these little blighter’s look really simple it took me about half a ream of paper to get those die cuts as near perfect as I could. I use 350gsm card stock which requires me to double double cut with my Cameo , more often than not half of the image sticks to my cutting mat and the rest comes away in my hand much to my annoyance of my  doglets who all run for cover when I start shouting at my machine ( a shoddy workman always blames his tools )

Why not pop over to CAS.ology and see what the amazing DT have come up with,  always tons of inspiration from this talented crew and lots of fabulous entries as always.

Bidding you all a wonderful evening/morning/afternoon

Take care

Marie

  1. Know what you mean about wasting card or paper, I had loads to do today and only 2 sheets of the card, I had to throw the first away argh!

However if I could have the results you get I wouldn’t mind, these are GORGEOUS!

    (Glad you missed me LOL)

  2. Two beautiful cards Marie – the silhouettes look stunning raised up off the card like that. The sentiments are fabulous. So surprised to hear you have problems with your beloved Cameo! I’ve had a Pazzles Inspiration (huh! no inspiration to me……) for a couple of years but have exactly these problems….so it’s cowering in the darkest corner of my room destined not to be used! Think I need to set aside a day and just get it out, dust it off and try again. You are my inspiration…….but if it doesn’t work I will be back………hehe

    Hugs.

  3. Okay, now we are talking!! NOT ONE, but TWO very awesome, and VERY CAS CARDS!!

Love them to bits! Thanks for such a great welcome and DT compliments! Lovely bloggers with awesome card love just makes it a pleasure to come and check out their creations!!
And your are eye candy for my CAS soul!!
A sincere thanks for joining us this week at CASology!! And if I didn’t have to cook for a potluck tomorrow –let’s just say you inspired me right back to get on my cameo and do up some fabulous-ness too!!

  4. Love both of your striking cas cards Marie. It’s strange isn’t it that what we make doesn’t always reflect the time and energy invested in it, but these were worth all the effort.

  5. Two fabulous cards Marie, love the vintage ladies, must check that out:) I haven’t used my silhouette since we had our extension built and I need to set it up with my laptop in a new space. So keep up with the inspiration Marie, I love it!

  6. Your ‘post it’ packs quite a punch Marie! Your cards are so stylish. The silhouettes are a great interpretation of the word trigger and I’m lost in admiration at how intricate they are! Vicky x

  7. Marie, I’m new to the whole Silhouette thing and I have the same issue with heavier card stock. I feel your pain! Your die cuts are perfect! Love your take on this week’s cue card!

  8. Marie, you absolutely ROCK the black and white card! These silhouettes are magnificent!! I’m so glad your persevered through all the frustrations because the end results are so worth it!! Hugs, Darnell

  9. I love the image of the children! There is a group of bronze statues in our town that are children playing musical instruments in a parade. This always makes me think of them. Love the elegant ladies too!

  10. Love, love, love these, especially the 3 sisters one. I miss my 2 sisters badly!
    CAS and just stunning.

    Love Sheila x

It's always a pleasure to read your coments
