Addicted to Stamps and More ” Halloween “

Hic !!!!!!! What can I say !!!!! Thanks to all of the smarty pants that pointed out my HUGE spelling mistake on my wedding card on the previous post !!!! OMG how embarrassing,  out there for all of the world to see,  and not only that but I sold the damn thing within an hour of making it and the person who bought it didn’t notice it either !!!! Thank goodness I live in Greece I just hope the person who receives it can’t speak English. Moving swiftly on……time for another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More and our theme this week is ” Halloween ”  I loved Halloween when I lived in London that and bonfire night but unfortunately neither of these are celebrated here in Greece .

Please excuse the rubbish photo but due to the 3D style of this card I just couldn’t get a decent shot. I used my mate Cameo to cut the card and welded the bat into the top corner. Added a couple of white mice and the spider on the inside of the card, Miss Muffets mate is covered in stickles , not that you can tell and to be honest I don’t know why I bothered cos you can’t see a trace of the glittery stuff !

Seeing as how my lovely cameo was all warmed up I decided to make another , I used the tree stamp from SU  for the background and coloured it with Pan Pastels , added the bats and cut the frame with my Cameo.

Wait there’s more ……..

This little spider card was embossed with a Mr Holtz texture impressions folder and a couple of googly eyes added this was just a silly whim of the moment card so please don’t be harsh with me

Right one more and then you can go…….

Again my cameo came to the rescue ( think I’m addicted ) cut the shape and the image and coloured with SU inks,  inserted the cut out into the negative space which had been run through the Big Shot with this fun Tim Holtz embossing folder. Did you notice the little border of bats at the bottom ? I don’t know about you but they look more like space invaders ( for the older amongst you ) than bats don’t you think !. A few pearls and a bit of foam and there it is !

I do hope you will pop over to Addicted to Stamps and More the DT has some fabulously spooky cards for your viewing pleasure and also our newest members are debuting today so do hope you can visit and give them a big warm welcome.

While I was trawling blog land I came across a fabulous challenge site called Art With No Boundaries who’s theme is Halloween and October. I was totally blown away by the amazing DT here and their fabulous creations something totally different , I was well impressed I can tell you so I thought I would link up there too. Hope I am worthy .

Before I go thank you so much for your well wishes regarding my foot,  am still suffering and am having to increase my pain medication somewhat, by the time my foot has healed my liver will be shot to pieces !!!

Take care my lovelies

Marie

  2. oooooo, very spooky lot of cards! Love them! I really need to get myself a Cameo – I say this every time I see what you have created lol. Wonderful, Marie xx

  3. HI Marie – first of all I had to check your wedding cards again 😉
Now I saw the mistake too *lol* It happems 😉
But your spooky cards are simply stunning. All of them and the little spider is gorgeous as well.
Unfortunately the cameo is so expensive – I would buy this machine at once 😉
And I need more embossing folders 😉 Looks amazing.
Have a great and sunny day
    big hugs
    Doreen xxx

  4. Well Maria, I’m with Doreen…..had to check your wedding card again as I hadn’t spotted the “deliberate” mistake either – obviously blown away by the sheer beauty of the card (or I didn’t have my glasses on!) lol You have made a wonderful array of halloween cards – they are all gorgeous. Your Cameo must be a really good friend as you both turn out some amazing things. Hope your poorly digits are getting better.

    Hugs.

  5. Hello you old witch! I think you must’ve been casting a spell on your Cameo to produce such fabby cards. Think my fave is the circle of bats – that’s impressive cutting! There you go – a mixture of naughty and nice!! ta, ta, xx

  6. Mistake ? mistake? what mistake, better go and check LOL.

These are amazing cards Marie, love what you do with the Cameo, the big spider I know my little great nephew would LOVE, I couldn’t choose a favourite from them.

The trouble is taking so many tablets for your pain and it affecting your liver, people will think you have the problem ’cause you drink! sorry don’t drink enough water!

  7. Such a fantastic set of Halloween cards, Marie! Fabulous Cameo work, and embossing! I have to make some Halloween cards for a few little boys, and your spider card has inspired me to get cracking! Love those googly eyes! Which actually look quite appealing! xx

  8. You put your Cameo to some delicious creative projects. So glad you found Art With No Boundaries, you’re very worthy, and we hope to see more of your art in future challenges.

  9. Hi Marie. Super selection of cards. You do work wonders with that machine of yours. The spider looks amazing. I didn’t notice the spelling mistake.
    Regards Florence x

  10. wow-wow-wow… Marie, I’m speechless!!!! Will the next crop in Thessaloniki include Cameo classes as well? ;o)

PS: I had to go back and see the card in your previous post… I hadn’t seen it either! lol!

  11. You really have pulled out all the stops here Marie – I don’t know where to look first! They are all absolutely wonderful with just the right amount of spooky (except the spider which I can’t even look at!) The border on the last one DOES look like space invaders er I mean what ARE space invaders?!! You really do sound as if you’re suffering with your foot Marie – I do hope it recovers soon. Hugs, Vicky x

  12. Fabulous!!!!! I love the final card, there is something extra creepy about that one.
Well I must have been in a daze as I didn’t notice the spelling mistake!
    Wishes

  13. OMW!! What an amazing collection of cards Marie!! You really know how to work your mate Cameo!! Fantastic!!

I missed your last post and have just seen it, lol! Fabulous card anyway!

  14. Oh heck, everytime I look at one of your posts, I’m one step nearer to trading my (very little used) Cricut in for a Cameo, lol. These are all fantastic Marie, but I’m very drawn to the last one – it has a real vintage look to it. As for the mistake, what mistake? I need to go back, my spelling and skills of observation are obviously not as good as I thought they were!

    Take care, my dear

    Maria xxxxx

  15. That cameo machine of yours is pretty fabulous – love seeing all your new creations every week. Awesome line-up of Halloween goodies here too. I love the bat on your first card especially. That spider is too spooky for my liking lol. x

  16. Too bad you are now living in a place where Halloween isn’t celebrated, because you sure make the most stunning Halloween cards, Marie! I’m head over heels in awe of that first one! And as for the spelling error, it happens, but I have to admit I did laugh out loud when you said you sold it right off!! That just shows how stunning your wedding couple were!!

  17. How fabulous Marie, I think you’ve done brilliantly with the Hallowe’en theme, 4 fabulous cards:00 Sorry to hear that the foot is so painful. I’m not really surprised though, it’s a very painful thing to do and with no fixing it just has to heal itself, ouch!!! Hugs Gay xx

  18. Always knew you were a bit batty (sorry couldn’t resist). I love the spider and his googly eyes, he’s really rather cute and your plethora of bats, but your last card is my favourite, don’t know how you’ve managed to make a halloween card quite so classy, but it’s really got something about it!

  19. I’m so happy that my new computer works and I’m able to visit all my friends in blogland again. You’ve been very busy and creative during the last time.
These Halloween pieces are fabulous 🙂
