Addicted to Stamps CAS Card Challenge

Thank you lovely ladies for you get well wishes after my accident with the Sushi knife ,the finger looks rather unattractive and before Suze Bain makes some disparaging remark I will say that it matches the rest of me !

Its time once again for another challenge over atAddicted to Stampswere our  theme for this week is to make a card  any subject as long as its clean and simple ,well tons of scope there so no excuses for not joining in ! so come and have a peep at what I made

I have a beautiful book with Japanese prints that I have been dying to use for some time but didn’t want to destroy the book so I photocopied the image onto acetate, I just love how bright the colours are when you use acetate. I placed a piece of bevelled glass over the image and glued it with Glossy Accents and added a few red pearls. I used Spellbinders circles to cut the aperture and popped up the frame with some foam, a lovely resin flower in the corner and all done.

I’d like to enter this card into a couple of challenges ( havent done that for ages ) the first is Annabelle Stamps blog who are asking us to use spots and dots and anything round ,  am in just under the wire on this one !

Moxie Fab World Focal Point Challenge

I’ve been dying to take part in one of their challenges for ages now but was always overwhelmed by the quality of the beautiful creations by DT and entrants, nothing ventured nothing gained so here goes

For all of the deets do pop over to Annabelle Stamps and Moxi Fab World there are some amazing entries and fabulous inspirational pieces by both DT’s

Variations on a theme wont bore you with the details

Last but not least !

Please pop over to Addicted to Stamps to see what the rest of the gorgeous girls on the DT have made for your delectation and why not have a go…come on you know you want to !

Well will have to love you and leave you as its Mr P’s birthday today and I’m still struggling to make him a card, last year the poor man didn’t get one ! Actually this time I have three on the go but can’t make my mind up so he just might end up getting all of them ! I’m taking him out for a romantic dinner this evening so I need a good five hours to get ready  ! I might be a bit late getting round to you all tomorrow due hopefully to partaking of  copious amounts of wines and spirits and of course am still on medication ( gin ) for the sore finger !

Toodle pip and ta ra to you all

Marie

  1. Brilliant idea to copy them onto acetate Marie, you’ll always have them now:) Love the glass dome and the resin flower on the 2nd card highlighting the printed flower. Fabulous prints! Glad your finger is getting better, the Bombay Sapphire is obviously working it’s magic:)

  2. A.MaZinG! I have a vague memory of buying acetate that I could print onto… you have totally inspired me to firstly find it and then do what I meant to do some years ago… yes, use it! ALL your cards are fabulous and the Japanese prints, TDF!

  3. Ooohhhhhh – I’m drooling over these gorgeous cards Marie, they are absolutely beautiful and what a brilliant idea to photocopy them onto acetate. Not sure if you can hear me as I’m whispering…….don’t want to disturb that alcohol fuelled head of yours this morning! Wish Mr P a very happy birthday – hope you had a brilliant night…..at least with someone else cooking your inger was safe!!! lol

  6. Hi Marie, Is your printer a super-duper souped up model because those colours on acetate are so fabulous!
The first card reminds me of a Faberge egg.
I am sure the “medicine” is taking your mind off the pain from your finger. Although if you partake of too much “medicine” it is likely another finger will go for the chop.
Have a fabulous time (oops, am I a day late?)
    Wishes
    Lynne

  7. Ooer, I missed your post about the finger accident – hope you’re okay!
As ever, amazing cards again today! I love the CAS designs with the vibrant colours and prints. They look like those really expensive cards you can by in gift shops in the UK.
Have a fab evening and make sure Mr P gets to celebrate his birthday properly! ;o)

  8. Well Mrs P, I’m going to be nothing but nice to you today – these cards are absolute stunners (are you sure you made them yourself – oops, naughty me). The colours and the prints are absolutely fab. Enjoy your evening – birthday wishes to Mr P. See, I was (nearly) nothing but nice! ta ta xx

  9. Wait, so hold on. Are you saying you made all these delicious cards with that huge bandaid covering the tip of the missing finger? I mean covering the finger with the missing tip? Dang, woman.

And photocopying a colored print onto acetate, hmm? That one is going in the Must Do Binder.

They are all seriously stunning, Marie!

Have a wonderful birthday celebration with your Mr. P, a fun partay, and awesome mandatory you-know-what!!

  10. Did you get a cheap deal on acetate? Hehe, just when I thought I knew your style you’ve gone and confused me, and don’t you DARE say that would be easy. I love the vibrant colours but there’s just something about the first card that really draws me to it.
I’ve had a great idea for a card for you btw, have one that features mealtimes….breakfast, lunch and dinner!
    Love you mwah XXX

  11. Hiya Marie, how fabulous are these! These colours are totally gorgeous on acetate! It’s good to know that the medication is working – must try them when I have another accident with the glue gun (I’m sure there will be another). Hope Mr P’s had a great birthday, I’m sure he’ll love his cards – hope you had a great night!

    Take care Marie

  14. They’re all brilliant, I love the first two which, as you say are quite similar, not a bad thing :0) when they’re that good LOL The last is really quite different, much bolder and still very attractive, all work really well! I hope you both had a fun meal, Gay xx
