Yes me again just couldn’t stay away !!! This month over at Get Creative we are celebrating our second birthday and after the resounding success of last October’s month of card making we have decided that this will become a firm fixture on our calendar , that means that the thirteen team members will each be hosting their own challenges and they will also be responsible for choosing a winner and offering a lovely prize. You can enter as many times as you like as long as your card is for a specific challenge .
For my challenge I have chosen Clean and Simple (CAS) I seem to be stuck in that mode at the moment, to be honest I’ve been stuck in it for a while and am thoroughly enjoying it !
I used this lovely stamp by Inkylicious with black archival ink and coloured the eye with a blue copics marker. I placed over the eye an oval beveled glass dome to give dimension. I had a bit of trouble with the lips as due to the intensity of the black ink every time I colured them red they just look very dark and I wanted something bright and luscious. I ruined loads of images untill I finally had a brain wave. I used glossy accents to go over the lips and when dry coloured over the top with red copics and got exactly the look I was going for. I created a frame with my cameo to encase the eye and popped it if with some foam , the sentiment was computer generated. I really enjoyed making this card so made another using the same stamp but using yellow leather this time as a base
Graphics 45 12 x 12 Little Darlings Paper Pad, it’s absolutely jam-packed with beautiful retro pages , to be honest I wanted to keep it for myself !
You have until the 29th of the month to upload your card …….so on Get Creative
Marie
You do this style of card so well Marie. Just love the way you have used the stamp

Hi Marie – gorgeous cards……….such a striking image and a genious moment with the glossy accents! Must admit I’ve never thought of stampig into leather (and I’ve got loads – mainly used for book making) so will definitely be giving it a go.

My favourite challenge, as you may imagine! CAS is definitely your style Marie. These cards are soooo elegant, and I always love how you use materials I wouldn’t have thought of, like the bevelled glass and the yellow leather. Your imagination has no limits!
WOWWWW these are amazing, They are SO your style, love them both, fantabulous. I’ll have to take a look and see what I can do, LOL.

Beautiful CAS cards Marie and the portrait stamp is gorgeous. x
Oooo! These are both stunning! You done goooood misses! Love that stamp you have used. Y’know the problem with the lips you had. This is just an idea and I hope you dont mind my mentioning it. I had the same problem with a robin stamp I have. In the end I carefully took just a little bit of the ink off the stamp, with a corner of a piece of tissue, before stamping. it solved the problem with the robin anyway 🙂
Sending hugs,

Clever clogs, these are simply stunning. Striking, elegant and very distinctive. I too love the touches of colour and the eyes, you’re imagination is boundless X
Two great cards, cannot decide which I like best.
Love, love, love this stamp and I’m so impressed with your stamping on leather, stunning cards and your ATS one is so striking. There you go, I’ve only nice things to say today! xx

Marie, thanks for your tip, the Mariposa papers! They look lovely, I checked. Luckily I’m off to Helsinki next week and hope to find them in a shop there. Have a good rest of the week!
Wow!!! I LOVE this stamp Marie (I think I have a thing about people/faces stamps, lol) and how you’ve used it is so classy. I love how you’ve done the lips on the first one, and the second looks stunning stamped onto the leather! You always bring us such beautiful and unique creations Marie.
Take care
Maria xxxxx

Oh, Marie, these are CASilicious!! I love them both, but find the black and white with the bright red lips to be so striking! (Thanks for your sweet comments and congrats over at my place, even if you don’t feel a bit sorry for me, LOL!) Hugs, Darnell
You are so very great at CAS! Love those red lips :o)
Wow!!! All I can say is these two pieces of art show YOUR immense skill and passion, Marie!! Fantastic! xxx
You are amazing -I’m gobbling like a demented turkey here! The image is perfect for both of these treatments – stamping on leather is a stroke of genius as is the way you solved your lip colour problem. CAS is my kind of thing too so I’ll definitely be joining in with this challenge! Vicky x
