It’s the midway point at The Flower Challenge, and we have some fresh inspiration for our Sketch challenge, which I hope will get your creative juices flowing.
Although I struggled with my first card, this one came together more easily.
The floral die, embossing folder, and dotted circle are from Spellbinders. In fact, the dotted circle is a glimmer plate, which I used as a die. Once again, the “gold blobs” are courtesy of Pinkfresh Studio, and the sentiment is Altenew.
We do hope you can join in the fun at The Flower Challenge and look forward to seeing your lovely creations. My teammates have once again outdone themselves, so why not pop on over and take a peep?
Once again, I will be in the air when this post goes live. I’m heading back to the UK to see my mum, who unfortunately isn’t doing very well healthwise; she has dementia and is in a care facility. We lost my dad a few years ago to Altzheimers’s, such a terrible illness, and I’m so far away, so please forgive my lack of commenting once again.
Wishing you all a fantastic week
take care
Marie

Oh, Marie. I’m so sorry your mum isn’t doing well – you’re so right about that being a terrible illness and it doesn’t seem fair that both of your parents have/had it. It must be so hard to be so far away – glad that you are able to go for a visit and I’m betting your sister really appreciates it, too.
Your card today is as lovely as can be – love that sweet little bud that seems about to burst into full bloom.
Take care, my friend – biggest hugs enclosed.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I love how you’ve added that texture in your circle from underneath and the added gold drop around the edge too! It’s such a happy and beautiful card my friend! HUGS

Those gold balls add just the right touch to the die cut circle as a frame for your lovely flower, Maria. So sorry to hear about your Mom. Have a great visit.
Thank you so much Bobby

Your card is just delightful, Marie! I love that sweet pink bud and the wee little flowers on each side of the sentiment. I feel for what you’re going through with your mom (and went through with your dad) – my mom also had dementia and it’s indescribably horrible to watch it happen to the ones you love. Take care! ❤️
